The goal of Kinbaku Today is to provide a central location for education, promotion, and understanding of Japanese erotic rope bondage (kinbaku) in the West. In doing so, we endeavor to provide a forum to create a deeper understanding of kinbaku in all of its contexts: as art, as personal expression, as erotic play, and as performance. We do not promote any particular ryu, style, or perspective other than requiring that all information presented has a recognizable link to a Japanese tradition.
We publish articles on every aspect of kinbaku, ranging from instructional to historical with the goal and intention of raising the level of understanding of the history and context of Japanese erotic bondage in the West.
We welcome contributions from anyone with a genuine interest in kinbaku including those new to the art.
Our galleries feature work of kinbaku artists from around the world, including Japanese artists.
